The year 2013 saw the Kosmic Kart Racing Department leader in KF category
Just some accidents caused by our rivals, not so fair, prevented us to aim at the European and World’s titles.
Nielsen won the first competition of the European Championship and got the second position on the occasion of the first round of the world championship for KF category
At Sarno (Italy) we gained the second place, with Nielsen, in the CIK Super Cup for KF category
Nielsen fought for the title in the WSK Euro, achieving the second step on the podium and won at Genk
Convers (3rd) and Russo (6th) closed the season in Bahrain on the occasion of the world round, with positive results
Lessennes, Pasma and Squaranti are the young drivers that have been growing up during this season in the cadet class running with our colours
They ran next to Nielsen, Convers and Russo in KF class as well as Mawson, Walilko and the 2012 World Cup’s Champion for KFJunior class, Corberi.
The 2013 season, even if it was full of important success for our colours leaves us some bitterness since the very good performance of our drivers and materials, were humiliated by some inconveniences, which penalized us a lot.
The most important task for our Racing Department was undoubtedly reserved to KF category, where Nicklas Nielsen always fought for the title, supported by winning material.
After the second position gained in the WSK Euro Series championship, winning also at Genk, Nielsen reached the European championship in top shape and won the competition at Alcaniz (Spain).
In the second and final European Championship’s round, Lennox-Lamb, not so close to the title, did an unfair play, and compromised Nielsen’s performance with his Kosmic Kart-Vortex chassis and his good chances for the title.
Same destiny for the World Championship. After the good second position gained on the occasion of the British competition at the PF International Circuit, Nielsen and all our Racing Department, arrived in Bahrain in great form.
Right in the most interesting moment of the final, assigning the world title, our profitable and intense work was stopped by the unfairness of Verstappen.
So we missed two very important titles, within our range, with no chances to fight on equal terms.
Convers, in the second world round gave prove of our chassis’ competitiveness, recovered and got in the third step of the podium.
Andrea Russo’s season was fully successful, at his debut with our Racing Department, he had to evaluate and assess with the new working environment first and then he always ran in the top positions. He was able to fight for the podium on the occasion of the world competition in Bahrain where he got the sixth position.
Lively but fair was the contest our Nielsen had in the CIK Super Cup event for KF class at Sarno (Italy), when he hardly fought against Basz (Tony Kart-Vortex) for gaining the title.
Our driver missed it for a hair’s breadth and we, together with Nielsen, got on the second step of the podium very well satisfied with having battled to the end.
Moreover, of this closing season, we also have to remind the well work our Racing Department did with the very young driver of KFJ category.
Benjamin Lessennes, Patrik Pasma and the Rok Talent Award 2012 Federico Squaranti, ran the CIK competitions practicing and constantly experiencing.
Back to the KF class, we also have some drivers who ran with our Racing Department a few events only, they are the Australian Joseph Mawson and the Polish Igor Walilko and Luca Corberi. This last driver was the 2012 World Cup Champion for KF Junior category and during this ending-season he shifted and ran in this demanding category.
