Nielsen won the last WSK Euro at Genk and the second position in the Championship’s ranking. The excellent Nielsen’s performance was followed by an extraordinary competitiveness of the whole team. Convers and Russo took the very first positions during the heats. An inconvenience forced Convers to stop at the final’s starting grid, when he was third. On the eve of the CIK European Championship at Alcaniz, the Kosmic Kart Racing Department owns winning premises. Rankings of the WSK Euro.
Il Kosmic Kart Racing Department led the KF category with Nicklas Nielsen who won the last round of the WSK Euro run at Genk (Belgium).
Together with this success our driver also gained the second position of the general ranking.
The very good results of the last weekend of the WSK Euro were clear already during the qualifying when our driver Nielsen signed an extraordinary Superpole, 52.483.
The leading competitiveness of the Kosmic Kart-Vortex material was also confirmed by the other official drivers of our team, Armand Convers and Andrea Russo, amongst the best drivers of the qualifying. They also entered the top list of the Superpole, with the sixth (Convers) and eighth (Russo) best timing.
Heats proved the power of the technical material branded Kosmic Kart-Vortex, with not less than four heats out of four won by Nielsen next to the constant presence of Convers and Russo in the top positions during all the heats.
In the prefinal Nielsen hardly fought against Basz, Boccolacci, Hiltbrand, Romanov and Barnicoat, ending fifth after his teammate Convers.
The final’s starting grid was disappointing. Convers was involved in a slight collision at the first bend and ran off the track, losing any chance to fight for the success.
The race was a fantastic growing of our Nielsen who, after a perfect start performed fast laps one after the other overtaking amongst others Hiltbrand and Barnicoat, finally leading the competition.
Nielsen, leader from the eighth lap, ran to the victory with no hesitation and signed also the last lap with the best lap timing of 52.088, the best of the KF category in the whole weekend WSK Euro.
Our Racing Department’s success is a very good premise for the next CIK European Championship, which will take place in fifteen days (from the 14th to the 16th of June) at the Spanish track of Alcaniz.
Apart from the misfortune that prevented us to succeed, Convers and Russo, too, showed a high potential And it makes us hope in view of the next International event.
