Kosmic Kart Racing Department files the year 2012 with several results that confirm the top performances of the team
The top results obtained at the beginning of the season came starting in Japan, with Nicklas Nielsen winner of the prestigious title of the Asia Pacific CIK of KF2.
Our driver took also the second victory of the Asia Pacific, after the one gained in 2009 by Tiene.
Still in Japan, at Suzuka, we began our positive World Championship with Daiki Sasaki. Our Japan driver had his debut with four extremely positive competitions, winning three times a second position and missing the title because of a few inconveniences. At Macao, on the occasion of the final round, Sasaki behaved very well and allowed us to fight until the end with the best drivers. Thee world title went to the Tony Kart Racing Team's driver, Flavio Camponeschi.
In the WSK Euro Series Italian driver Antonio Fuoco gained the wonderful victory in KF2, at the International circuit of La Conca. Once again Fuoco got a second position in race 2 of the European Championship, at the PFInternational circuit; during the same weekend the future winner of the World Cup, Luca Corberi, got on the second step of the podium in KF3 category.
Kosmic Kart Racing Department also had the pleasure, together with Vortex, to see the First Vortex winner of the Rok Talent Award story at the track, Giuseppe Gaglianò.
The Rok Talent on the occasion of the opening race of the European Championship of KF3, at the French circuit of Varennes, signed an unforgettable pole position.
The excellent and prime win of the season comes with the World Cup of KF3 thanks to Luca Corberi. the young Italian talented driver, who joined our team at the beginning of season, improved perfectly and step by step, cooperating in synergy with the team and at Zuera, in Spain, was able to be the leader during the whole weekend. He was able to take advantage of his Kosmic Kart-Vortex chassis, closing the season uniquely.
The competition closing the CIK-FIA season, the Asia Pacific for KF3, saw the positive performance of the young promise from India,
Jehan Daruvala, winning the title at the drive of a Kosmic Kart-Vortex chassis.
Daruvala, joining the project of the young talents of the F1 Force India team, was on the podium besides our official driver, Joe Ishida, third place.

Olivier Marechal – Team Manager of the Kosmic Kart Racing Department

The seasonal balance is completely positive. We won two important titles, Asia Pacific for KF2 with Nielsen and the World Cup of KF3 with Corberi, we always ran at the top positions in KF1 category, in the World Championship with Sasaki.
We did good performances in KF2, too, even though not continuously, but we're still working on it. The same as for KZ class, where no high tones arrived, but still we succeeded with Convers at the top and Groman becoming more an more expert.
Obviously the most prestigious results came with Nielsen and Corberi, two drivers we helped in their growth and that own a big potential. I can’t forget young talents such as Fukuzumi and Fuoco, too, who in KF2 category showed off the good performances of our material; I also wish to thank Paolo Ippolito for its contribution, for having demonstrated to be a leader in KF2 category. Still talking about young drivers I was glad to see the good training performed by Alessio Piccini, who was used to KZ, but ran and worked hard with us in KF3 class.
As well as I was satisfied with the Rok Talent driver Gaglianò, able to reach the pole to the European Championship in KF3. Our task is to train young talents but at the same time to obtain good results with them. It is not easy to teach a young boy making pressure on him at the same time in order to gain good performances. But the best for a driver who wishes to become a professional is to gain results.
I’d say that our target has been achieved in 2012”.
