After the positive European competition in Wackersdorf, Zdenek Groman still wishes to climb KZ1 category's ranking
In KF2 class Nielsen and Ippolito will have a new teammate with them, Antonio Fuoco.
The eager Piccini and Corberi, in KF3 category, want to check their potential on a wet track and on a demanding circuit as La Conca is.
In this third step of the WSK Euro the new Tracksa signalling system is having its debut
KZ1 – We are now ready after the European Championship of Wackersdorf, where some of our drivers ran very well, particularly the Groman brothers with Zdenek who was able to achieve the sixth position in the very final of the European championship in KZ1 category.
KF2 - Tereza Gromanova, got good results at the beginning of the first round of the Euro in KF2 class, signing the second best lap timing and a second position twice in the heats, as well as other successes allowing her to be in the second row of the pre-final's starting grid.
Nicklas Nielsen won not less than three heats, but he ws unfortunately penalized because of some accidents he was involved in during the difficult competition on the wet track.
By the way our new Asia Pacific Champion was able to enter the final and to recover in final-2 from the bottom to the fifth position.
The German competition was largely influenced by the changing weather conditions, but this will not be the case on the next weekend in La Conca. The nice Italian circuit will host the third round of the WSK Euro Series.
In the category with the gearing box, KZ1, Armand Convers is currently in fifth position and Zdenek Groman is more and more improving, actually the young Czech driver, after the very good European competition, is able to reach any good result.
In KF2 category, Paolo Ippolito and Nicklas Nielsen must recover in the general classification and from this competition they will run beside a new promising young driver, the Italian Antonio Fuoco.
KF3 – After a long break, scheduled in the race calendar, our two eager young drivers Luca Corberi and Alessio Piccini are still on the track. Both of them are awaiting for the La Conca competition to show off their driving skills on a track in wet conditions, in particular on the demanding and spectacular track of La Conca, able to enhance the Mercury-RAD performances.
Corberi did not stop as much as his teammate, actually Luca trained and won in the Italian ACI-CSAI Championship, held in Ugento on last 3rd of June.
In this WSK Euro competition Tracksa will have its debut, a signalling system successfully tested already in F1 and the Moto GP.
The system is made up of small towers giving flashing signals reproducing the flag colours. In case of need the towers turn on allowing drivers to have fast and efficacious information according to what indicated by marshals. Tracksa system can be considered as one more step forward in terms of safety.
The Italian event in La Conca will be live on Rai Sport channel, on Sunday 24th of June starting from 2.15pm.
