The KF3 European Championship starts with a fantastic pole position for our Rok Talent driver Giuseppe Gaglianò.
Alessio Piccini brilliantly stands out in France, gaining two rounds and springing forward to the first line in final-1.
Only a few crashes penalized the races of Gaglianò and Corberi.
The first round of the KF3 European Championship has really been successful for our official drivers. Alessio Piccini, Luca Corberi and Giuseppe Gaglianò had great performances during the whole race and the technical material proved to be top-quality, allowing all our three drivers to obtain brilliant results.
In the qualifying heats, the driver who gained a wonderful pole position on dry circuit was Giuseppe Gaglianò, winner of the Rok Talent Award 2011 world selection, belonging to the Rok Cup, and directly powered by our Vortex engine (http://www.roktalent.com/).
The Italian driver Gaglianò centered the lap time with 57.500, unreachable for all his opponents.
Piccini and Corberi gained the 12th and the 18th lap time respectively, out of 105 drivers.
The start was critical in the rounds, especially at the very first bend on the left, which penalized both Gaglianò and Corberi.
The Rok Talent Gaglianò started the race very well, obtaining three great results in the first positions (3rd, 11th and 6th). Unfortunately during the fourth and the fifth round, Gaglianò was involved in a few crashes, loosing the possibility to gain a great result.
It’s important to say that Gaglianò made his début in the KF3 category, he has been racing in the Mini Rok and Junior Rok categories so far.
Luca Corberi was penalized by the same situation as Gaglianò, being involved in some crashes too at the starting line.
Exactly as his team-mate, Luca Corberi brilliantly stood out, always centering top positions.
Only Alessio Piccini managed to get over the first bend without any problems, proving to be an excellent driver and showing off the high potential of his technical material, winning two rounds and reaching a good first line in race-1.
In race-1 Piccini fought against the best drivers and conquered 10 points, reaching the sixth position.
Our Racing Department is looking forward to participate in the next events: our staff is ready to take part in the second round of the WSK Euro Series on the French circuit in Val D’Argenton.
