On next Sunday the WSK Master Series is beginning in La Conca (Italy). A new driver is coming in KF2 category, the Danish Nicklas Nielsen, while in KZ category Armand Convers, just back from a small accident, is now racing again.
The beginning of the season has reserved new starting points for the Kosmic Kart Racing Department. The Winter Cup began with the bad news concerning our KZ most experienced driver, Armand Convers, which could not race because of health problems. Luckily Convers has now recovered and on next Sunday, on the occasion of the first WSK Master Series event, he will be at the track, running next to Zdenek Groman. And just this last driver, on the occasion of the Winter Cup, got positive results. Actually it was a very good début, Zdenek at the very first competition, was able to obtain the fifteenth position in the final.
Groman, experiencing with an expert driver, such as Convers, will benefit for sure and will learn even more rapidly the secrets of KZ. In KF2 category, side by side to the Italian Paolo Ippolito, there will be a driver of undoubted value, already winner of the WSK Nations Cup 2011 of KF3 category, ready to make all the work necessary to further upgrade.
Luca Corberi and Alessio Piccini, right after the first official event in the blue colours, are ready to start the first seasonal championship, the WSK Master. Both of them showed to be very enthusiastic for the atmosphere and the management of the Kosmic Racing Department and will able to count on the fundamental support of the Team Manager Olivier Marechal, who gave already his contribution in the past to the professional growth of drivers such as Marco Ardigò.
Before the Italian transfer to La Conca, our drivers have been engaged with the Quadra Sports training. It is a special training to develop and learn professional drivers’ activities, such as media relationships, physical training, public relations as well as technical classes concerning karts and personality of sportsmen.
We remind that the WSK Master Series is made up of three rounds, the first one is on next Sunday at the International La Conca circuit, while the other two events are scheduled from the 15th to the 18th of March in Sarno (Naples – Italy) and from the 29th of March to the 1st of April in Castelletto di Branduzzo (Pavia – Italy).
Olivier Marechal - Kosmic Kart Racing Department’s Team Manager:
“Once broken the ice on the occasion of the first competition of the season, the Winter Cup, I am now expecting that drivers run very well concentrated on the whole championship and not only on the result they may obtain from one single round.
I am aware that some of them still need to train a bit more in order to find the best feeling with the chassis, Zdenek in particular, who came from a very different category from the KF1. We will do our best, both technically, giving competitive material, and from the management point of view.
We also have a new driver, Nielsen, who will give the right strength to the KF2 category, where we just had one driver before, Ippolito. Nielsen will rapidly improve and will give us the good boost to always be at the top in this category.”
