The season of our Kosmic Kart Racing Department ended with a podium in KF1 category of the CIK Asia-Pacific championship.
Pedro Hiltbrand had his début in Macao in KF1 category and proved to be completely at his ease with Mercury chassis powered by the reliable and performing Vortex engines, obtaining the third position in the final.
Hiltbrand, after the good qualifying rounds, with a second position in one round too, was then involved in an accident during the pre-final where the chassis got damaged by fire to the point he had to withdraw.
From the bottom of the starting grid in the final, the young Spanish driver took full advantage of his chassis’ performances being able to recover and thus gain the third step of the podium in the prestigious Asian competition. In the very final Hiltbrand signed an excellent 47.278, one of the best lap-time of the whole weekend.
The other driver of ours, the Malay Wei Ron Tan, at his début, too, in the master class, raced quite well and obtained the eight position in the final.
