In the third round of the KZ2 FIA Karting European Championship, the great effort done by Paul Evrard and Kosmic Kart is not unfortunately rewarded by good luck
The final stage of the KZ2 FIA Karting European Championship is a two-faced weekend for the Kosmic Kart Racing Department and Paul Evrard. Despite the excellent speed thanks to his Vortex engine mounted on the Kosmic Mercury R chassis, important allies on a difficult track like Sarno’s, luck does not help us to gain a result in line with the expectations.
Our prospects were good, with Paul Evrard immediately at his ease on the Naples International Circuit. The third place in his group in qualifying, which was an excellent eighth overall position, allows our standard-bearer to start in a good position in the Heats, where he fights with the best and also gets a fourth and a fifth place. Unfortunately, however, besides great performances, a few drivers have to withdraw from the race (also due to accidents), compromising the situation. In particular, the one in the Sunday morning heat, depriving Evrard of an excellent and deserved second place.
We however leave Sarno aware of our potential and we are sure we will be able to redeem ourselves next weekend, 22nd-23rd June, where, the third round of the WSK Euro Series will take place in Lonato. The OKJ, OK and KZ2 categories will be fighting for the victory.
