In the second round of FIA Karting European Championship in Genk, our drivers of the Kosmic Racing Department and the Kosmic brand fight in an event characterized by the big number of registered drivers and by the unpredictable weather
The European path of the Kosmic Kart Racing Department goes on, engaged this time on the Genk circuit on the occasion of the second round of FIA Karting European Championship OK and OKJ characterized by bad weather. Even though they were running in such particular conditions, our drivers and our technical material get great results.
OKJ
Among a competitive and expert line-up, Andrey Zhivnov and Alexander Gubenko are fighting in all the Qualifying Heats, getting close to the top ten several times. Same behaviour also for Axel Malja, who racing his Kosmic Mercury R powered by Vortex, brillianltly stands out in a heat obtaining a second place and signing the best lap too.
The Kosmic chassis is however the true protagonist of the category, thanks to the winner Marcus Amand who crowns in the best way an amazing weekend. Also the other Kosmic chassis, driven by Suleiman Zanfari is in the top ten of the final.
OK
Great debut for Nicolas Pino who, in the rain, comes sixth among his group in the qualifying heats (17th best time overall out of 69 drivers at the start). For the young Chilean driver, the heats are an excellent opportunity to compete against the best drivers in the line-up and gain experience also in view of the upcoming race meetings. The other driver of our team in this category, David Rozenfeld, is not constant in the Heats, alternating great results (a fifth and seventh place) with quite good performances.
The reliability and the performance of the Kosmic Mercury R chassis, in a weather uncertain and unfavourable situation are proved thanks to the great results of other different drivers in the Heats. Among them, the victory of Thomas Imbourg, the third place of Franck Chappard, the placings in topten of Sami Meguetounif (3rd, 5th and 8th) and Loris Cabirou (6th, 9th and 10th twice).
The Kosmic Kart Racing Department is now looking forward to racing in Kristianstad, Sweden, where from 30th May to 2nd June the third round of FIA Karting European Championship OK and OKJ will be taking place.
