We can file the weekend spent on the 7 Laghi track positively. On the occasion of the second round of the WSK Super Master Series the Racing Department’s drivers have missed the podium in OK and KZ2, but Basz and Hajek, showed the competitiveness of our chassis.
The weekend at the Italian 7 Laghi circuit began with difficult wet track conditions and ended with a dry track.
In OK category Karol Basz ended the final in the fourth position, just off the podium, after a tough comeback. Basz, after sealing the third time in the qualifying and winning a heat, had to stop in the last heat, losing many positions in the ranking.
The driver and team’s work has been paid back and Karol was able to get back on top position during the pre-final already, although unable to fight for the victory against his rivals, due to the gap accumulated previously. Milell managed to recover after an unlucky start and crossed the finishing line in thirteenth place.
Vebster and Pourchaire lost their chance to enter the final due to some accidents that forced them to withdraw.
In the shifter category, KZ2, Hajek ran in the leading group, finishing third in the pre-final (A). In the final, after having run in the third position for a long time, Patrik has slipped to tenth place because of the lively tussle for the podium.
Rasmussen and Bengtsson fought tenaciously in the middle group of the 53 KZ2 drivers.
An accident in the pre-final prevented Roman Stanek from entering the final of OKJ class. For our driver, the lively competitive spirit that reigns in the cadet category was definitely negative.
