At the end of a leading weekend, where we showed off technical, organisational and human skills, the first so much awaited and deserved title, arrived. CIK-FIA World Champions of KF category.
Kosmic Kart Racing Team and Karol Basz glued (symbolically) the number one on the bumpers of the magnificent Mercury MY15 chassis powered by Vortex engine.
On the Italian La Conca circuit we won the world title for KF class and we also got on the podium, third step, of the World Championship of KFJ thanks to the young Brazilian Caio Collet.

KF. The race that allowed us to win the world title 2015 was born auspiciously with a seventh time in qualifying. A certainly positive performance, obtained by Basz in qualifying, but which did not highlight our real speed performance.
In the heats Basz’s performance improved and his Kosmic Kart-Vortex chassis number 7 has always flown at the top winning three heats and gaining a third position. So, in the pre-final our future World Champion has been at the forefront and won the race.
With such a positive path towards the final all predictions pointed to us, nevertheless none of the staff has lowered the concentration, continuing to work with the utmost attention to the last moment before the long-awaited moment, the start of the final.
At the start Karol was pressed by Tom Joyner, who was left the leading of the race for a few meters in the fourth round. Back to the top, Basz has obtained laps record repeatedly, scoring the best lap in 45.843 and thanks to the magnificent support of his flawless and fast chassis, he ran towards the conquest of the world title.

KF JUNIOR. The podium in the world competition for KF Junior completed the unforgettable day spent in La Conca.
Young Caio Collet finished the final in third place, fighting in close contact with Novalak (Tony Kart-Vortex).
Collet ended the World Championship positively, after being throughout the course of the event at the leading position. As well as our other driver, Felipe Drugovich, who always ran at the top.
Collet and Drugovich won a heat each and jumped from the front row of their respective pre-finals.
Collet, as mentioned, led the final fighting for the podium and conquering it. Drugovich battled to win a place on the podium until the eleventh lap when he was hit by a rival and pushed off the track. Drugovich recovered up to eighth place but, unfortunately, the opportunity to join the fight to win a place on the podium was now lost.
Winner of the world title was the FA Kart-Vortex chassis of the American Logan Sargeant, who we send our compliments.
We wish to stress the fact that the ranking is almost completely full of drivers at the wheel of chassis manufactured in our Prevalle factory.

“We did a great job, other than the world success with Karol we also got on the podium of KFJ with Caio.
We always ran at the top positions and we are aware that competitions follow a indefinite path however we were aimed at the success. We fought together with Karol during the whole season to gain the victory and we actually have faced some misfortune, accidents or other inconvenient.
We were able to manage this competition in a good manner, Karol performed well in the heats and won the prefinal, and everything was good. Concerning the timings, we lost precious moments and Karol could not gain the best lap.
So, in the qualifying we could not take advantage of our potential, but later in the heats, Karol was back at his level. He had the potential to win and he succeeded.

The material was always competitive and did not give any problem. I only had a problem in the qualifying since I couldn’t perform a best lap to show off my potential.
During the heats and in the event we always get on the track to win and the result we expected has arrived.
The track is one of my favourite and since today La Conca will be even more special…
In the first laps of the final Joyner put me under heavy pressure but when all was going perfectly I overtook him and ran away.
I wish to particularly thank Mr Robazzi. He’s been giving me the opportunity to run at high levels for years, supported by winning material.”
