The Kosmic karts place a double win in KFJ category on the occasion of the European Championship in Portimao. Winner is Roosens (VDK Racing) followed by our Collet In the provisional standings of the European Championship Roosens is the leader with maximum points, Collet is third and Drugovich is in seventh place In KF class an inconvenience slows down Basz in the pre-final, forcing him to climb in the final Rankings
KFJ. In the opening event of the European Championship reserved for categories with no gear, KF and KFJ, our colours have brought a great victory in KF Junior, with Kenny Roosens and the VDK Racing team.
In Portimao it was not one of our drivers to lead a Kosmic Kart on the top step of the podium, but a driver of a partner team.
Roosens deservedly won the first race (of the three scheduled) of the European Championship, after having lead the standings all weekend, since the heats. Also thanks to his success in the pre-final Roosens is leading the provisional ranking with maximum points.
The satisfaction is further increased if we consider the sensational double Kosmic Kart win obtained with the second place of our driver Caio Collet.
A clear success as the one we got in KFJ class is enriched by the sixth position obtained by Felipe Drugovich thanks to his good recovery.
The beautiful performance of the chassis we manufacture reflect on the European Championship’s ranking which is strongly marked by the Kosmic Kart brand. In addition to the aforementioned Roosens’ leadership, we also appreciate the third place of Collet and the seventh of Drugovich.
Needless to say, the next round will see us as the leaders thanks to our formidable Mercury MY15 chassis.
KF. In KF class we had a less exciting performance than the standard we were used to. An unfortunate stop of Basz in the pre-final, in the middle of the competition, prevented us from aiming for the podium also in KF.
In the final Basz recovered, thanks to the high quality material employed, jumping from the thirtieth place to thirteenth.
Jessica Backman ran a positive performance, entering the final without any problem and finishing it behind his teammate.
