In Macao the Indian driver Jehan Daruvala, Rayo Racing Team’s driver at the drive of a Kosmic Kart-Vortex, led the KF3 category gaining the CIK-FIA Asia Pacific title reserved to the cadet category. The Japanese driver Joe Ishida, Kosmic Racing Team Japan’s official driver, got on the third step of the podium.
In the World Championship for KF1 Daiki Sasaki fought for the title but had to yield to the new World Champion’s performances, Flavio Camponeschi, wearing the colours of the Tony Kart Racing Team.

KF1. The decisive competition of the World Cup for KF1 category confirmed our team’s competitiveness with Daiki Sasaki who fought until the end to conquer the world title of KF1 class. Actually Sasaki arrived in Macao with a second place and took part in all four heats of the finals running in the top positions. The Japanese driver began his run to the title at best, fighting first of all against the Italian driver Flavio Camponeschi, driver of the friendly team, Tony Kart Racing Team. Sasaki got the fourth position in race-1 getting closer and closer to the leader Camponeschi.
In the next competitions unfortunately the hard battle was featured by some slight collisions for our driver and this way his expectations to succeed dampened. The final ranking crowded Flavio Camponeschi as the World Champion 2012, and we wish to congratulate with him for this deserved title. Our Sasaki gained the fourth place, a few scores far from the third position conquered by the Italian driver, Tiene.

KF3. On the weekend another prestigious title has been assigned, it’s the CIK-FIA Asia Pacific title for KF3 category. In this class of very young drivers, the leader was the Indian Jehan Daruvala who did very good performances at the drive of a Kosmic Kart-Vortex. Daruvala signed the pole position, won three out of three qualifying heats, led the pre-final and the final. The Indian driver, with the private team Rayo Racing, did not miss the best lap in the final, too. This important day for our colours was finally completed by the third place of the very young Japanese driver Joe Ishida, of the Kosmic Racing Team Japan. The Indian driver Jehan Daruvala, showed off already before this success, and entered the F1 Force India project for the young talented drivers.

Olivier Marechal – Kosmic Kart Racing Department’s Team Manager
“We are happy for Daruvala’s success, even though he is not part of our team directly, he employs our material. This is a clear confirmation of our products’ quality both for the Kosmic Kart and Vortex brands. Ishida also performed well, gaining the third place in KF3 category. Concerning the KF1 category we were involved in heated fights, particularly on Sunday and Sasaki unfortunately could not obtain more than a fourth place in the final. Our competitiveness is quite evident during the whole world championship and this is a confirmation also for our future work. I wish to congratulate with Camponeschi and Tony Kart for this world success. They largely deserved this success.”
