The CIK World Championship for the category with the gear was run in Le Mans and the Kosmic Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone have gained the top positions Lundberg jumped from the front row in the pre-final and finished the championship in seventh place Backman and Canal made a very good performance Official rankings

The CIK World Championship for KZ category resulted positively for the Kosmic Kart Racing Team that put three drivers at the track, Douglas Lundberg, Andreas Backman and Julien Canal.
Thanks to super competitive material it was the Swede Lundberg who excellently showed off and after a positive qualifying heat in which he got the eighth place, he obtained very good results in the two pre-final qualifying. Douglas, in fact, has collected a third and a second place in the hard track conditions of the heats, first with a wet track and then wet. For our driver the result is a well-deserved and satisfying first row in the pre-final grid.
Backman’s performance was also positive, who with a ninth and a tenth position was able to enter the selected group of the best twenty drivers in the world.
At the pre-final, Douglas lost the second position, but was firmly in third place after certain moments of struggle.
In the final our best Kosmic Kart-Vortex chassis started from the second row. During the strong battle for the allocation of the World Championship, Lundberg fought against the top drivers, finishing the race in seventh place. Our other drivers Backman and Canal crossed the finish line, respectively, nineteenth and thirty-fourth.
Throughout the weekend the technical material confirmed to be at high levels, showing its competitiveness and adapting to every asphalt condition, whether it was wet, damp or dry. In fact, on the circuit of Le Mans the changing conditions that occurred during the three days of competition have made it necessary sudden changes of set-up and, as mentioned, the Kosmic Kart-Vortex chassis has never lived up to expectations.
Together with the World Championship also the International CIK Super Cup for KZ2 class was run, the race went to Frenchman Laurent Thomas, at the wheel of the Tony Kart-Vortex chassis, manufactured in the same factory of Prevalle (Italy) where our Kosmic Kart chassis are designed and made.
